Everyone has one thing that they don't like about themselves, but with anorexia, it's more than that. They don't eat because they feel like they're too fat. Which isn't true, they just see themselves that way. They continuously are malnourished, and lose weight at an unhealthy pace. ADHD, I'm betting you either thought of someone you know or someone who can't focus and bounces off the walls. Which is a true stereotype, because it includes hyperactivity, inattention, and impulsivity. Hyperactivity is where the person needs to move in unnecessary situations. As in, finger taps, fidgets, which can be annoying to most people. Inattention includes disorganization, wandering off task and looks like they lack drive or persistence. Impulsivity is making minor and major decisions and don't think of consequences following. I have a family member who has ADHD, and it can be pretty clear. When he was little, he really couldn't sit still and focus. Some of his teachers didn't like him for it, but others liked his personality. Now, even in school, he has some struggles focusing but mostly it has gotten better and a little easier to control. But some possible reasons of having ADHD are that the brain chemical dopamine is offset or even neurotransmitters. But usually a parent has it, and their child has a 50/50 shot of having it. If an older sibling has it, there's over a 30% chance of the next sibling having it. Also, there is a chance a child will have ADHD if their mother drank or smoked while pregnant. I do struggle sometimes to focus, like any student does but I don't have ADHD. Many people make jokes during class, saying, "Oh I am so ADHD." When they can't focus or get off topic. But it really sucks for those who have to take pills to control it.
